CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – A relationship spat is to blame for WMMS “Rover’s Morning Glory” show going off-air Monday and Tuesday.
Profile information for morning show sidekick “Duji” was taken off the show’s website this week sparking rumors amongst listeners that she had been yanked from the show.
According to morning show host Rover, they weren’t planning on being in repeat mode on Monday and Tuesday but the time off was needed to decide what Duji’s role would be on the show.
Rover told listeners Wednesday that there had always been rumors and speculations that he and Duji were in a relationship, he confirmed their relationship this morning during their broadcast.
The couple was apparently together for seven to eight years and have been broken up for the past two years.
Duji says they were able to move past his affair and are still friends.
Apparently, Rover and Duji have been seeing other people over the past several months. Both Rover and Duji disagree with whom the other is or was dating and they thought they could no longer work together because of the tension.
The two were able to take Monday and Tuesday off to work out their issues and the morning show team was back at it again Wednesday.
The show airs live Monday through Friday from 6am-11am.
The station’s website still lists an off-air producer position available.
