There was no sign of former WWE star Braun Stromwan at Impact Wrestling’s Bound For Glory pay-per-view on Saturday night.
PWInsider reported earlier this week that Strowman (real name Adam Scherr) had a long meeting with Scott D’Amore last weekend. It was believed at the time that both sides had struck a deal or were close to coming to terms.
It was later reported by PWI that he was expected to debut as a surprise at the pay-per-view. That obviously did not happen and before the show, Sean Ross Sapp reported that there were some surprises that Impact hoped to land for the show but those plans fell through.
Scherr was supposed to debut as The Titan. It’s not clear what happened with those talks or who else was supposed to appear on the show. The only surprise on the show was former WCW star The Demon (Dale Torborg) in the Call Your Shot gauntlet match.
There had been rumblings about the former Bray Wyatt possibly going to Impact but there is no confirmation that he will actually end up there and Tony Khan has stated that he is interested in speaking with him at the right time.
